At Terra Provence, our supplier relationships are based on mutual knowledge, trust and a comprehensive understanding of the supply chains. That's why field visits, which allow us to find out more about the realities of production and exchange directly with local stakeholders, are hugely important to us.

Discovering Moroccan supply chains

During a recent trip to Morocco, we met with several essential oil suppliers and producers to better understand their working methods and practices.

In the Atlas Mountains, we were able to learn more about the cedar industry. This visit allowed us to witness how this emblematic species is exploited and better understand how sawdust from cut wood can be valorised for the production of essential oil.

Understanding the raw materials' origin

A meeting with our producers allowed us to discuss production methods, established controls, and the importance of raw material traceability. We also visited rose, neroli and other aromatic plant fields, where local know-how still plays an important role. These exchanges are essential to understanding our products' origins and the realities faced by producers.

Meeting our wild plant pickers

The trip was also an opportunity to meet the pickers who help harvest the wild plants for our essential oils. Their knowledge of the land and local species is an essential link in these chains. These meetings allow us to better understand the environmental, economic and human issues related to essential oil production and strengthen ties with partners who contribute daily to the quality of our selected raw materials.
