A monumental macerate at Terra Provence

St. John's wort macerate occupies a special place in Terra Provence's history. For more than 20 years, we've chosen to preserve a traditional manufacturing method of sun-macerating fresh flowers in glass demijohns. Each season, we produce several tonnes of macerate at our production site in a coordinated team effort to ensure the freshness of the flowers and the smooth running of every stage of the production process.

Manufacturing to the rhythm of nature

St. John's wort can flower at different times each year, depending on climatic conditions. This raw material therefore requires a great deal of adaptability in order to harvest the flowers at the optimal time.

The majority of the organic flowers that we use come from a local partner producer. Once harvested, they are quickly integrated into the manufacturing process to preserve their quality.

The demijohns are then left in the sun for several months, allowing maceration to develop naturally before the filtration and conditioning phases.

Two formulas, different requirements

In order to meet our customers' different specifications, we offer two formulations:

A traditional formula made from 100% organic olive oil;
A formula combining organic olive oil and organic sunflower oil.

This diversity enables us to support the specific needs of our professional clients, depending on their applications and formulations.
