Carbon assessment and action plan

Understanding and improving our impact

In December 2023, we began carrying out a carbon impact assessment with the help of an independent expert. For several weeks, they studied all of our activities in order to measure our greenhouse gas emissions and identify our primary levers for improvement. This was a team-wide effort across all our areas of expertise, which allowed us to build the most faithful vision of our activity as possible.

What we learned

The analysis confirmed that, as with many companies working with agricultural commodities, a large part of our impact is in purchasing and sourcing.

Transport is also an important function, alongside packaging and the investments necessary to support our business.

These results now give us a better understanding of where we should focus our efforts.

Actions already underway

At the end of this study, our team drew up an action plan.

Identified priorities included:
better understanding the environmental impact of our sectors;
reducing the use of air freight;
developing the traceability and recovery of waste;
continuing our studies on photovoltaic energy;
working on the cleaning and reuse of packaging.

A concrete objective

We've set ourselves a target of reducing our greenhouse gas emissions by 4% by 2025.
This carbon assessment is not a goal. It's a tool to guide our decisions and improve our practices over time.
